Annual Events

Fall

Parent-Child School Visits (Sept): The school visit is a brief time for you and your child to meet your teacher, as well as a good opportunity to explore the classroom before the actual start of school.

Member Orientation (Sept): This is a mandatory event for all participating adults (a “participating adult” is any parent, relative, or caregiver who plans to work in the classroom.) This is an invaluable training session to go over general school information, policies, and committee assignments. You’ll also have opportunities to meet and go over classroom information with teachers.

Welcome Coffee (Sept): Held on the first two days of school, you are invited to drop off your child in class and come enjoy some refreshments provided by the Hospitality Committee. This is a good opportunity to discuss carpools, exchange babysitting arrangements, and to ask any questions you may have.

Fall Membership Meetings (Oct): Membership meetings are an opportunity to review any updates and reminders as well as vote on any by-law changes as the year begins. We also schedule an engaging speaker to talk on a subject directly pertaining to our preschool-aged kids.

Parent-Teacher Conferences (Oct): Held twice a year, parent-teacher conferences are a great way to touch base one on one with your child’s teacher. The Hospitality Committee also provides babysitting.

Winter

Holiday Brunch (Dec): One of our most exciting events of the year! At the Santa Brunch, you’ll see an adorable performance from the kiddos, enjoy a potluck-style brunch with friends, and FREE photos with Santa himself!

Open House (Jan): The Open House is a chance for us to share our amazing school with the community. Enjoy a presentation from the Board of Directors and Staff, take a tour from parents currently at the school, and get all your questions answered. (In case of inclement weather, an Open House make-up date is scheduled for the following week)

Spring

Spring Auction (Mar): The Spring Auction is a hit every year! We have a week-long online auction, which can be shared with family and friends. Then to end the week, enjoy a night out of fun and fundraising without the kids at our silent and live auction.

Parent Teacher Conference (Apr): Held twice a year, parent-teacher conferences are a great way to touch base one on one with your child’s teacher. The Hospitality Committee also provides babysitting.

Spring Membership Meeting (Apr): At the Spring Membership meeting we go over school reminders, as well as vote on any by-law changes, the new Board of Directors slate, and the budget for the following school year. We also schedule an engaging speaker to talk on a subject directly pertaining to our preschool aged kids.

Annual Dulin Preschool Worship Service (Apr): A lovely day shared with Dulin United Methodist Church. For those who wish to participate, the kids perform a few songs and Pastor Dave shares a kid-friendly sermon, followed by refreshments with members of the preschool and church.

School Picnic (May): Held at a local park, enjoy food, entertainment and some running around as we celebrate another great school year!

Graduation Ceremony (May): The graduation ceremony is held for rising Kindergarteners. The students prepare a special performance, followed by a presentation from our teachers, a tear-jerker slideshow, and delicious food!

Summer

Summer Camp (May/June): Want to extend the year a little longer? Sign up for our 2 week (6 day) Summer Camp! The kids enjoy camp activities and a less-structured day with no parent involvement required!

Park Dates (June-Aug): Park Dates are a fantastic way to stay in touch with Dulin friends over the summer, as well as meet some new families! We meet once a week at various local playgrounds.
