Scholarship and Flex Fund

Dulin Cooperative Preschool understands that the expense of high-quality preschool can be a financial strain. This is why we have options to help supplement that cost.  Polly Cox helps eligible families reduce their costs through tuition scholarships and the Erin Messner Sunshine fund helps enhance our current program with imaginative and unique experiences.

Polly Cox Memorial Scholarship

The Polly Cox Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1984 in memory of Polly Cox. Polly was a valued friend and member of Dulin and served on the Executive Board from 1983 until her death on December 6, 1984. The purpose of this tuition scholarship is to provide funds for families who would otherwise be unable to attend Dulin or to help current families continue their enrollment at Dulin during times of financial hardship.

Dulin Cooperative Preschool awards tuition and/or hardship scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded based on need and may provide up to 80% of the total tuition cost. We ask that even families on scholarship contribute towards their child’s tuition at Dulin – this enables us to help as many families as possible. Scholarship funds cannot currently be used for application fees, enrollment deposits, Enrichment, or Lunch Bunch. Families are responsible for providing the remaining tuition and fees on the first of each month. All other participatory obligations to the preschool remain in place, regardless of financial assistance.

Erin Messner

The Erin Messner Sunshine Fund

Erin Messner served as President and Fundraising chair during her service at Dulin Preschool and touched the lives of everyone associated with our community. She drew people together to strengthen the bonds of friendship between both the children and parents. She planned outings and excursions for her children and others, and was always driven with a sense of purpose and adventure! We honor her memory and service by establishing this fund to enable Erin’s wonderful sense of fun and exploration to live on at Dulin Preschool.

The Erin Messner Sunshine Fund is a flex fund for special programs within Dulin’s offerings, such as field trips, enrichment, and other unique experiences. All expenditures will be board approved and will be geared toward putting smiles on faces!
