Dulin Cooperative Preschool offers

Part-time Programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds
Classes are made up of 8 to 15 children, depending on age, with two adults — one teacher and one parent helper — assigned to each class.
Children must reach the appropriate age for a class on or before September 30 of the current school year.
Our school year runs from the second week of September through the end of May (Memorial Day), and we follow the vacation schedule and cancellation policies of Falls Church City Public Schools.
Our Classes:
2-year-olds
Morning class (AM2s) 9:30 a.m. - noon Tuesday/Thursday
Afternoon class (PM2s) 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 Tuesday/Thursday
The class size is limited to 8 children. Children must reach the age of 2 years on or before September 30 of the current school year.
Younger 3-year-olds
9:30 a.m. - noon Monday/Wednesday/Friday
The class size is limited to 12 children. Our Younger 3s generally turn 3 years old in the spring or summer of the current school year (depending on the age span of all incoming 3s).
Older 3-year-olds/Younger 4-year-olds
9:30 a.m. - noon Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
The class size is limited to 13 children. Our Mixed 3s/4s is made up of older 3s (whose birthdays are soon after the September 30 cutoff) and younger 4s (who generally have turned 4 shortly before the school year begins). There is usually no more than a 6-month age span among the class. While many of our 4s go right to kindergarten from the Mixed 3s/4s, those families wishing to delay kindergarten entrance may send their kindergarten-eligible children to the Older 4s the following year.
Older 4-year-olds
9:30 a.m. - noon Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
The class size is limited to 15 children.
Enrichment
Noon - 2:30 p.m. one afternoon per week (may vary from year to year)
Enrichment is an optional extended day for children eligible to enter kindergarten the following year. This class gives our pre-kindergarteners an opportunity to see friends from the other classes, get used to a longer day, and focus on certain skills expected of kindergarteners.
Lunch Bunch
Noon - 1:30 p.m. Wednesday
Lunch Bunch is an optional extended day for children enrolled in the 3s, 3/4s, and 4s. Parents sign up two weeks in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. The children in Lunch Bunch see friends in other classes, eat their home-brought lunches as a group, and have the opportunity for additional outdoor or Rainy Day Room play.
Music
Our music teacher visits all of our classes weekly, introducing them to age-appropriate musical concepts and instruments via dancing, singing, stomping, marching, and playing.
Science
Children in the 3s, 3/4s, and 4s enjoy twice-monthly science classes with a specialized science instructor. During science class, the children get hands-on lessons about scientific topics of interest to this age group; for example, animals, the solar system, dinosaurs, nutrition, plants, and magnets.
